Mickey Rooney was born Joe Yule Jr. on September 23, 1920 in Brooklyn. He entered showbiz at the tender age of 2 and as of 2010 was still doing live shows. He holds the distinction of the longest movie career in history. Mickey made his first film during the silent era in 1926 and his latest role was a cameo in the 2011 musical The Muppets. In between he has appeared in more than 300 movies.
