Katharine Houghton Hepburn was born May 12, 1907. With her regal bearing, chiseled cheekbones and distinctive speaking voice she became a movie icon. From her debut in 1932 until her final film appearance in 1994 she reigned as one of Hollywood's true originals. She is the only person to receive 4 Academy Awards in the leading category. Katharine Hepburn died June 29, 2003 at the age of 96.
