Barbra Streisand shot like a meteorite of talent out of Brooklyn in the 1960s, conquering in quick succession theater, recording, television and finally the movies. She won the Academy Award (in an historic tie with Katharine Hepburn for The Lion in Winter) for her very first movie Funny Girl which was also the biggest box office hit of 1968. A feat that no other actor has accomplished before or since, proving that she is indeed The Greatest Star!
