Eric, those aren't the only two types of people who believe in socialism. There are also those, typically known as the Liberal Elite, who believe that the proletariat aren't smart enough to think for themselves and so need a government to take care of them.
There are also those misguided few who sincerely believe that it is for the betterment of mankind.
It's always those with the fewest amount of property who think that all property should be communal.
