I saw this thing when it came out and liked it better than all three of you guys did. Not much. To me Alan Hale was an old friend. I've always had a soft spot for Jeffry Lynn, but in his pre-war pictures with Priscilla Lane at Warners. The curio for me in Hometown Story is a small part played by Tom Keene in the opening airport scene. He wa quite effective in his moment.

My favorite performance from Lynn, of his movies I've seen thus far, is in The Fighting 69th. Most of the time I find him pretty to look at but bland as hell.

3, 1-star reviews. Another film for the hall of shame.
