A movie trailer is supposed make you want to see the movie, without giving too much away. Death at a Funeral should have shown very brief clips of the characters demonstrating how wacky they are, without giving away any lines. Just show Martin and Rock mugging for the camera and a hurried array of the rest of the large cast, ending with one good line. They could have even had a voice over. "The death of a relative can be very disturbing, but so is having all your friends and relatives visit your home at the same time."

I've seen both the remake and the original, and I have to say the original is better. Take the time to watch it. The remake is almost an exact copy, but is missing that extra zing that was present in the original. It could be, as stated in the reviews, that it tried to stay a little too pc, or maybe because, for me, I had seen the original, already, and knew of the 'twist'. It is the same actor, btw, for both movies. The remake isn't bad, I'm just saying that the original was original, and the remake didn't improve on it. From what I had read, Chris Rock just wanted to bring it to the mainstream American audience, being the original didn't get much theater-time as it had deserved.
