I would have to agree with Patrick. This movie is way overrated. I try to view a movie in a different light when I know the intended audience is a young one (not sure how young considering all the four letter words used), but even a younger crowd deserves better dialogue than this. The character seemed a little too simple. All the emotions seemed weightless. The movie was supposed to portray a very religious people, but fell short on this aspect as well. I did not feel very connected with the movie. The point of the movie was to feel more connected with god through nature. To protect the earth. To be honest, a movie that has a very close plot structure which had me way more connected was Fern Gully. That movie had me sympathizing with tree huggers a lot more than Avatar did.

I agree, I believe man made global warming is compelte bullshit, but Fergully still pulled me in. Avatar is just plain pretentious.
