Nice review Scott! So did Rocky really turn Yellow or did he pretend to like Father Jerry asked?

There's no question whatsoever in my mind that he pretended. Rocky did everything for Jerry.

Great job Eric! I may be a little biased but I think this is one of our very best ever 3-man reviews!

Eric, I totally get your point in the last paragraph of your review, I just don't think I made myself clear enough. I didn't mean to imply that Rocky wasn't responsible for his own actions and maybe he did deserve to be in jail or on death row, but there's a big difference between Jerry letting that happen because he knows Rocky deserves it and Jerry actively working to put Rocky there. I guess what I should have said is that Rocky wouldn't have got caught and put on death row at this point in time if not for Jerry trying to rat him out to the police.

Thanks Patrick. Scott, don't you think that it was hard on Jerry to turn his friend in? He did it for the greater good of saving the kids from a similar life. He took no pleasure in doing the right thing.

And Jerry does warn Rocky before launching his anti-crime crusade. Rocky explicitly gives him permission to step on him if he gets in the way. As Rocky is at the top of the racketeering heap he is Jerry's biggest target. I always find the ending bittersweet though. It kills me to picture the Dead End Kids thinking of Rocky as a "Yellow Coward". Hopefully the ones that make it out of the slums will one day realize just how heroic he really was at the end.
