You mark a film down because the leads do not act how you think a married couple should act?

Did you read my entire review? Your comment doesn't sound like it.

Of course I read it. You dedicate an entire paragraph to their lack of chemistry and then repeat it in the caption.

I also go on about the outdated script, the underuse of the talented supporting women and the complete lack of chemistry between Hepburn and David Wayne, yet you only comment on my statements about Hepburn and Tracy>

Patrick, you were right, before I even got to your last paragraph I was thinking that it sounded more like a 2.5 star review.

I am not bothered by your other criticism. I am shocked that you, a married gay man, would judge their relationship as not fitting some marital standard.

What does my being a gay man have to do with anything?
#7 - Patrick - 01/15/2012 - 16:28
Surely you have felt judged for being a married gay man, so I would think that you would not be so judgemental on someone else's marriage.

It's a movie. We're critics. It's our job to judge. In my opinion they lack sexual tension together. And since you mention it, no I haven't felt judged for my marriage. That's one reason I love living in NYC.
